About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory
  • Research customer business needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions
  • Conduct face-to-face and remote sales, including product demonstrations and sales presentations
  • Evaluate market trends and competitor activity to provide value-added services to customers
  • Manage customer accounts by answering questions regarding pricing, availability, and product use
  • Coordinate with the transportation department to manage deliveries and troubleshoot order issues
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing sales budgets, maintaining records, and processing credits
  • Drive personal vehicle to visit customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline OR HSD/GED with 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
  • Current automobile insurance with required liability limits
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet customer needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual skills
  • Previous experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef
