Sales Clerk/Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
• Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations according to quality standards
• Maintain store appearance through regular cleaning, dusting, mopping, and restocking shelves
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise presentation
• Monitor store security and assist with inventory control and stock rotation
• Help unload donations and ensure safe handling of all merchandise
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including maintaining clear fire exits and managing spills

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, processing, or distribution of goods
• Knowledge of product brands and retail trends
