About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive market expansion and identify new business opportunities across various industries in the Qatar region.
  • Act as a key enabler for Sales Account Managers to manage processes critical to deal progression and closure.
  • Build and nurture a strong pipeline of qualified leads through strategic lead generation initiatives.
  • Develop strategic relationships with industry stakeholders, technology leaders, and research institutions.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to support the full sales cycle.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Provide regular reporting on market conditions, opportunity status, and business development performance.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in business development within the engineering simulation software industry (e.g., ANSYS, Siemens, Dassault Systems, Altair, or COMSOL).
  • Engineering or Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, or a related field.
  • Strong technical understanding of ANSYS simulation software, including CFD, FEA, electromagnetics, and multi-physics modeling.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic.
  • Proven track record in identifying new business opportunities and forming strategic alliances.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree.
  • Familiarity with regional government initiatives supporting research and innovation.
  • An established professional network within the technology community in the Qatar region.
