About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
- Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations according to quality standards
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
- Assist with unloading donations and managing inventory turnover
- Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols and maintaining clear walkways
- Monitor store activity to support security and loss prevention
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Previous experience in customer service or goods processing/distribution
- Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Ability to undergo applicable background and screening checks
