Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
• Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations according to quality standards
• Maintain store appearance through "Tidy Maintenance," including cleaning, dusting, and restocking shelves
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise displays to attract customers
• Monitor store security and assist with inventory control and stock rotation
• Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including clearing obstacles and managing spills

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs frequently, including bending, twisting, and pushing
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays and Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or goods distribution
• Knowledge of product brands and retail pricing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team
