About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
- Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and replenishment of the sales floor
- Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety policies and maintaining clear walkways
- Assist donors with unloading contributions and placing stock in appropriate locations
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Proven experience in cash handling and operating cash registers
- Previous experience in customer service or goods processing/distribution
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Availability to work on Saturdays
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
