About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
- Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations to maintain inventory levels
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures as required
- Monitor store activity to ensure security and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Handle merchandise in an organized manner, including stock rotation and recycling textiles
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
- Physical stamina to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Experience in customer service or the processing/distribution of goods
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
