About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
- Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and cleaning common areas
- Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise displays to attract customers
- Monitor store security and adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Assist donors with unloading contributions and placing stock in appropriate locations
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent twisting, bending, and reaching
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
