Sales Associate, Discovery Shop

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including cleaning, processing merchandise, and setting up visually appealing displays
• Provide comprehensive donor support by receiving donations, unloading items, and issuing receipts
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with floor navigation, and facilitating sales
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure accurate transactions
• Assist with the execution of strategic initiatives, loyalty programs, and promotional events
• Communicate the mission of the American Cancer Society to customers and donors
• Provide direction to volunteers and maintain store oversight in the absence of management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years of prior retail or service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework in business, mathematics, or economics
• Previous leadership experience, such as a key holder or team lead
• Valid driver's license
