Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including cleaning, processing merchandise, and setting up visually appealing displays
• Provide comprehensive donor support by receiving donations, unloading items, and issuing receipts
• Deliver exceptional customer service through greetings, floor navigation, and accurate point-of-sale transactions
• Assist with restocking shelves, maintaining organized sales floors and fitting rooms, and following opening/closing procedures
• Support strategic initiatives such as the Discovery Rewards loyalty program and promotional events
• Communicate the mission of the American Cancer Society to customers and donors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years of prior retail or service experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to learn and utilize retail software and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework in business, mathematics, or economics
• Previous leadership experience (e.g., key holder or team lead)
• Valid driver’s license
