Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including cleaning, processing merchandise, and setting up visual displays
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, assisting with floor navigation, and facilitating sales
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure accurate transaction processing
• Assist donors by receiving donations, unloading items from vehicles, and issuing receipts
• Maintain organized sales floors, fitting rooms, and stock areas
• Communicate the mission of the American Cancer Society to customers and donors
• Support the store manager with marketing initiatives and social media content creation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of prior retail or service experience
• Availability to work weekends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk frequently for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework in business, mathematics, or economics
• Previous leadership experience (e.g., key holder or team lead)
• Valid driver's license
