About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and advice regarding food and non-food product ranges
- Assist customers with questions and wishes to drive sales
- Stock shelves and freezer units, including working in cooler environments
- Present goods attractively and implement promotional measures
- Manage the checkout process and ensure smooth operations
- Ensure quality assurance by following legal and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, expiration date control)
Requirements
- Ideally completed training in retail or gastronomy (e.g., Chef, Restaurant Specialist, Wholesale or Retail Merchant)
- Open to career changers with professional training provided
- Previous experience in food retail is a plus
- Strong customer orientation and passion for retail
- Willingness to work in a two-shift system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with fresh fish (sales or processing)
