About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical support to sales teams and customers regarding Altera's product portfolio, including architectural discussions and performance analysis.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and hands-on workshops to showcase the value of Altera's solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand system-level requirements and propose optimal solutions, including device selection and IP integration.
- Assist customers with initial design implementations, debugging, and guidance on achieving performance, power, and area targets.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and Altera's engineering teams to provide feedback for future product enhancements.
- Participate in account planning and strategy sessions to identify new opportunities and accelerate design wins.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the semiconductor industry (applications engineering, design engineering, or field applications).
- Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, digital design principles, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog) and experience with FPGA design tools such as Quartus Prime.
- Experience with embedded processors (e.g., ARM, Nios II) and associated software development.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, or USB.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related technical field.
- Experience with memory interfaces such as DDR.
