About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales across the APAC region for TiDB, a distributed SQL database designed for the AI era.
  • Close "lighthouse" accounts by collaborating closely with solutions architect teams.
  • Establish distribution partnerships to accelerate product adoption within the APAC market.
  • Build the foundation of the sales team to scale product commercialization.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to ensure customer needs are met and manage escalations.
  • Develop sales operations and playbooks from scratch in a startup environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience at an established open source or mature cloud technology company (AWS/Azure/GCP, etc.).
  • Proven track record of winning large, complex deals.
  • Experience working as part of an overlay team within a go-to-market organization.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering background, either through academic training or professional work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience scaling sales from one to many in a new region.
