About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute selling techniques to promote Macmillan Learning Custom Solutions through presentations, campus visits, and conferences
- Network with key decision makers including Instructors, Deans, and Digital Technology Executives
- Create sales materials such as proposals, mock-ups, and samples
- Coordinate the handoff of newly signed customers to Project Editors
- Update and maintain sales data and activity in CRM system
- Create and analyze profitable pricing solutions for custom products
- Maintain competitive knowledge and market awareness
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years of Higher Education Publishing experience
- Proven track record in strategic sales planning or customer outreach
- Experience strategizing on complex sales opportunities
- Strong presentation and technical proficiency
- Ability to travel significantly within the assigned geographic region
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher education custom publishing experience
- Experience launching or scaling new custom publishing projects or digital-first offerings
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools for sales communications
- Knowledge of digital courseware platforms, LMS integrations, and inclusive access models
