About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace safety programs, inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Coordinate and deliver required safety training and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state safety laws, and DOT regulations
- Maintain SDS library, signage, safety equipment, and OSHA logs (300, 301, 300A)
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, including incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Coordinate with workers’ compensation carriers, medical providers, and employees
- Track claim progress, return-to-work status, and restricted duty arrangements
- Analyze injury and claim trends to recommend preventive actions and cost containment
- Facilitate safety committees, ergonomics initiatives, and risk reduction projects
- Partner with HR, Facilities, Operations, and Legal on injury management
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Availability to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 2-4 years of related work experience
- Current OSHA certification
- Experience with OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
