Safety Trainee

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of health and safety systems on site
• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Participate in site safety walks, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and reporting systems
• Support compliance with legislative and project safety requirements
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project team
• Learn key WHS processes within a live construction environment

Requirements

• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or NZ Citizen
• No prior completion of a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Strong attention to detail and an observant nature
• Confident communicator capable of engaging with a diverse workforce
• Motivation to study towards a relevant qualification while working full-time
