About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor work environments for hazards and safety compliance
- Conduct safety tests and assess air quality
- Perform Spark Watch to prevent fire hazards from hot work
- Oversee breathing air supply (Bottle Watch) for workers in confined spaces
- Ensure worksite safety compliance and emergency preparedness
- Act as an emergency responder when required
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain accurate compliance records
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Physical fitness for long walks and extreme weather
- Ability to work at heights
- Availability for full training period
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends
- Eligibility to sign with Carpenters Local 1256
- Ability to pass a Police Record Check
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
