Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer risk management programs, including OSHA, EPA, and local emergency planning.
• Maintain OSHA and workers’ compensation recordkeeping.
• Advise management, operations, and project/maintenance teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and address observations.
• Supervise a team of safety coaches performing daily audits of operational procedure compliance.
• Promptly alert management to accidents and incidents.
• Identify and analyze applicable safety standards and precautions.
• Train and mentor other safety professionals.
• Prepare safety documentation, including Operational Safety Plans, Explosive Safety Plans, and Incident Reports.
• Support the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) as directed.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• NEBOSH International Diploma or Level 6 equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HSES and OSHAD standards.
• 7-10 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor.
• Certification and experience in Lifting Equipment and LLG inspections.
• Certification and experience in pressure vessel inspection.
• Experience with Electrical Thermography testing.
• Radiation safety certification (RSO or RPO).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the fabrication industries.
