Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.
• Conduct safety training for employees regarding equipment handling, hazardous materials, and emergency response.
• Perform regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and investigations into workplace accidents or near-misses.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to align food safety protocols with regulatory standards.
• Monitor PPE usage and hygiene practices within production and storage areas.
• Develop emergency response plans and oversee the maintenance of emergency equipment and fire drills.
• Inspect machinery and cold storage areas to ensure safe operation and chemical handling.
• Prepare and submit necessary safety and compliance reports to regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in workplace safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations.
• Proven leadership, communication, and training skills.
• Ability to analyze safety data and implement effective improvement plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Professional safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, or similar.
