Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction site safety evaluations and field inspections
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for safe working conditions
• Identify potential safety hazards and recommend mitigation strategies
• Plan, implement, and monitor safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Develop and implement safety training programs for various crews
• Maintain field safety records and prepare detailed safety reports
• Coordinate with other departments on the design of new equipment and work methods

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of related safety experience
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
• Knowledge of the Telecommunications industry
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.)
• Bilingual in Spanish (oral and written)
