About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) in the field to reinforce company safety commitments
  • Collaborate with craft employees daily to encourage buy-in and ownership of safety programs
  • Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and work plans
  • Conduct daily documented hazard inspections and assist with the implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist with incident investigations, KieTrac entry, and the implementation of effective solutions
  • Provide safety training on policies, procedures, OSHA/MSHA, and client-specific requirements
  • Maintain project files in compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations, including accident and injury files
  • Assist with first aid and maintain relationships with emergency medical services and clinics

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to travel and relocate as required by project needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various climates and environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field
  • Certification as a Safety Professional
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
