About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) in the field
  • Collaborate with craft employees to encourage ownership of safety programs
  • Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
  • Conduct daily documented hazard inspections and assist with corrective actions
  • Assist with incident investigations, KieTrac entry, and implementation of solutions
  • Maintain project files in compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations
  • Provide safety training on policies, procedures, and client-specific requirements
  • Review work plans and detailed work packs prior to the start of work

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to travel and relocate as required by project needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various climates and environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field
  • Certification as a Safety Professional
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
