Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Function as a lead advocate for the company's safety culture
• Execute EHS objectives and strategies to ensure full compliance
• Analyze workplace hazards, equipment, and processes to evaluate risks
• Coordinate audit activities and lead remediation of findings
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance safety practices
• Support adherence to OSHA machine guarding standards
• Drive continuous improvement in accident and incident rates
• Support initiatives to ensure the campus is free from hazardous substances
• Engage in collaborative approaches with manufacturing and maintenance leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or similar
• OR 1+ years of EHS related experience in a manufacturing intensive environment
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Ability to move frequently throughout manufacturing plant and production areas
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
