About the role
Responsibilities
- Function as a lead advocate for the company's safety culture
- Execute EHS objectives and strategies to ensure full compliance
- Analyze workplace hazards, equipment, and processes to evaluate risks
- Coordinate audit activities and lead remediation of findings
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance safety practices
- Support adherence to OSHA machine guarding standards
- Drive continuous improvement in accident and incident rates
- Support initiatives to ensure the campus is free from hazardous substances
- Engage in collaborative approaches with manufacturing and maintenance leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or similar
- OR 1+ years of EHS related experience in a manufacturing intensive environment
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to move frequently throughout manufacturing plant and production areas
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
