Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site health and safety support, including training, incident investigations, and hazard reviews
• Prepare technical reports and other project deliverables
• Assist in the development of solutions to technical and regulatory issues
• Design and implement corporate H&S strategies, compliance auditing, and safety management systems
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality to meet client expectations

Requirements

• BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related science degree
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with industrial clients on regulatory compliance
• Experience in the manufacturing or chemical sectors
• Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to heavy industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASP, CSP, CIH, or similar professional certification
• Local candidates preferred
