Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site health and safety support at client facilities, including training, incident investigations, and hazard reviews
• Prepare technical reports and other project deliverables
• Assist in the development of solutions to technical and regulatory issues and concerns
• Design and implement corporate H&S strategies, compliance auditing, and safety management systems
• Achieve client expectations regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality

Requirements

• BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related science degree
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial experience, specifically working with manufacturing or chemical sectors
• Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to heavy industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite at client facilities in the Reading, PA area

Preferred Qualifications

• ASP, CSP, CIH, or similar professional registration
• Experience with practical implementation of EHS performance improvement programs
