Safety Specialist, EHS Operations

Responsibilities

• Respond to and investigate work-related injuries and determine root causes for corrective actions
• Monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and CALOSHA regulations
• Conduct scheduled audits to identify workplace hazards and implement corrective measures
• Support internal forklift and aerial lift certification processes and various safety training programs
• Perform exterior security patrols and inspect security equipment
• Respond to facility calls for service, including alarms and incident responses
• Collaborate with the worker’s compensation department and management on incident details and trends
• Utilize Oracle application to create supply requisitions and work orders for repairs

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (AA/AS preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of OSHA/CALOSHA regulations
• Understanding of warehouse or packhouse processes and flow operations
• Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts for a 7-day operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in administering personnel policies and procedures
• Knowledge of the worker’s compensation process
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
