Safety Shower Eyewash Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, testing, and cleaning of safety showers and eyewash stations
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks and complete all required documentation in a timely manner
• Maintain tools and order supplies necessary for equipment installation and repairs
• Comply with departmental policies regarding the safe storage, usage, and disposal of chemicals
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace within critical facility environments
• Provide professional feedback to help update preventative maintenance procedures
• Actively participate in emergency response procedures and safety training programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or state equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment substance abuse test
• Physical ability to use hand tools, work on ladders, and operate aerial or scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, or vaults

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience maintaining equipment in a high-tech or cleanroom environment
• Familiarity with facility equipment descriptors such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Experience with inventory management or overseeing storeroom operations
