Safety & Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Identify security violations and take prudent action to protect facilities, guests, property, and employees
• Conduct investigations into security infractions and coordinate with law enforcement
• Implement IIPP and safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries
• Manage receiving and tracking of company and guest deliveries
• Maintain watch at company gates and access-controlled points
• Provide immediate response to emergencies including fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents
• Monitor security and fire protection systems and equipment
• Identify potential safety hazards and recommend reductions to management
• Maintain a professional, welcoming demeanor and uphold company values

Requirements

• Knowledge of security regulations and OSHA/CalOSHA regulations
• Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals
• Demonstrated competence in handling emergencies
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
• CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience in law enforcement, private protection, or corporate safety & security
