Safety Professional

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers in the preparation of site-specific safety documentation JHA’s, H&S plans, reports, and permits
• Conduct continuous worksite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify non-compliance issues
• Maintain current knowledge on safety rules, regulations, and laws to ensure project compliance
• Communicate with safety representatives and governing bodies regarding project-specific health and safety
• Identify metrics to support safety practices and employee engagement
• Record and investigate near-misses to determine root causes
• Ensure personnel have and correctly use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
• Conduct daily safety meetings and site-specific safety orientations
• Assess subcontractor safety plans and JHA’s
• Attend project planning meetings and monitor safety-related documents

Requirements

• At least 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role
• OSHA 10 and 30 Construction Industry Certification
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
• Additional safety certifications (CSST, ASP, or CSP)
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
