About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialized threat assessments and risk management to mitigate disruptive or violent behavior on campus
  • Develop individualized, trauma-informed safety frameworks and plans for affected individuals, groups, or departments
  • Manage incident escalations through investigative review, information gathering, and analysis of multiple sources including OSINT
  • Lead and document sensitive interviews with affected persons, witnesses, and persons of concern using inclusive practices
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners, such as emergency services and law enforcement, to ensure effective service delivery
  • Contribute to high-security event management plans and participate in post-event evaluations
  • Research emerging trends and industry best practices to support continuous improvement of threat management programs

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Criminology, Psychology, or an equivalent field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in security and personnel administration
  • Knowledge of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) methods
  • Training in Structured Professional Judgment assessment tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting interviews and using case management systems
  • Experience working with diverse communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ and individuals with disabilities
  • Professional certification or membership related to the role (e.g., CATAP, ASIS)
  • Experience in higher education, security, or law enforcement settings
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior colleagues
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as operationally required
