Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Support OHS policies and advise on safety topics
• Conduct risk assessments and update safety policies
• Organize training and inspect premises
• Investigate incidents and report occurrences
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards
• Identify and correctly dispose of hazardous waste
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
• Document staff information, meeting minutes, and reports
• Complete required organizational compliance education

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in a Safety Officer role
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
• OSHA and/or CSP training
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to respond to an emergency within 24 hours
• Ability to work onsite in an austere environment until mission conclusion
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of "Special Needs" populations
• Experience in Disaster Relief or working as a government contractor
• Experience in collaboration with state and local medical facilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PII regulations
