About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and welfare for students and staff at all HCZ buildings
- Conduct general risk assessments to identify dangerous situations
- Monitor student activity in hallways and intervene to prevent inappropriate behavior
- Secure premises by patrolling, monitoring surveillance, and guarding entry points
- Maintain order and compliance with the school code of conduct and regulations
- Maintain incident records and present written descriptive reports for major incidents
- Respond promptly to security signals and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid and up-to-date 8 and 16-hour Security certificates
- New York State Security license
- Ability to work morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts
- Experience requiring keen observation, vigilance, and situational awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical characteristics suitable for security duties
- High level of integrity, honesty, and punctuality
