Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify hazards
• Implement and oversee safety protocols in compliance with local regulations
• Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs
• Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
• Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety
• Report on safety performance and recommend improvements where necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety officer role
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Mandatory GOSI and Ajeer status

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH or equivalent certification
