Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Make physical inspections and security checks of grounds and facility
• Report fires and assist in suppressing fires
• Investigate incidents on center and provide clear and accurate reports
• Perform First-Aid and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed
• Control disturbances and assist staff in de-escalating volatile situations
• Perform routine vehicle inspections on General Services Administration fleet
• Complete required security, vehicle and transportation logs, documentation, and records
• Log and search employees, visitors, vendors and students entering and exiting the center

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
• Two years related experience in CPR/First Aid

Preferred Qualifications

• One-year security or law enforcement experience
• Successful military experience
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements
