Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with project HSE requirements
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions
• Enforce Permit to Work procedures for high-risk activities
• Verify contractor compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments
• Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and workforce awareness sessions
• Verify LOTO implementation, energy isolation controls, and electrical safety practices
• Monitor lifting operations, hot works, work at height, and confined space activities
• Track and close safety observations, non-conformances, and corrective actions
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis
• Maintain accurate HSE records, including incidents and near misses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering
• Proven site HSE supervision experience within construction environments
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements on active sites
• Experience with Permit to Work systems and high-risk activity controls
• Familiarity with LOTO, energy isolation, and electrical safety practices
• Experience in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
• Strong communication skills with the ability to professionally challenge unsafe practices

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification
• Experience in data center or mission-critical project environments
• Exposure to hyperscale or colocation facilities
• Experience in MEP- and electrical-heavy project environments
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and local HSE regulations
