About the role
Responsibilities
- Project manage mission submissions and coordinate regulatory documentation
- Review safety-critical component test reports and manage FSS system summary reports
- Prepare and submit payload permit applications
- Produce Payload Safety Assessments and manage mission-specific payload hazards
- Ensure spacecraft programs meet orbital debris reduction requirements
- Support launch operational safety regulatory compliance and perform internal audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in engineering with a focus on regulatory compliance, requirements, or safety
- Knowledge of quality management systems
- Excellent project management, communication, and technical writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of space systems and operations regulations and standards
- Experience with safety management systems and standards
- Ability to read and comprehend new standards and regulations
- Understanding of engineering development and production processes
