About the role

Responsibilities

  • Project manage mission submissions and coordinate regulatory documentation
  • Review safety-critical component test reports and manage FSS system summary reports
  • Prepare and submit payload permit applications
  • Produce Payload Safety Assessments and manage mission-specific payload hazards
  • Ensure spacecraft programs meet orbital debris reduction requirements
  • Support launch operational safety regulatory compliance and perform internal audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering with a focus on regulatory compliance, requirements, or safety
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Excellent project management, communication, and technical writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of space systems and operations regulations and standards
  • Experience with safety management systems and standards
  • Ability to read and comprehend new standards and regulations
  • Understanding of engineering development and production processes
