Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute company-wide and project-specific safety programs
• Enforce safety standards and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct employee training and develop safe work plans for all project phases
• Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analyses
• Manage hazard assessment activities and conduct safety inspections
• Create and implement safety incentive programs
• Develop site-specific emergency evacuation plans
• Research construction sites to identify potential hazards
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience overseeing large commercial or industrial projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety compliance systems (e.g., Hammertech)
• Ability to obtain OSHA 500 and First Aid certification within the first month
• Willingness to work towards Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
• Ability to travel to multiple project locations and work in outdoor environments
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work at elevations in excess of 30 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience with Smartsheet
