Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute company-wide and project-specific safety programs
• Enforce compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations
• Conduct safety inspections and lead incident investigations using root cause analysis
• Create and implement safety incentive programs to reward targeted behaviors
• Provide safety and health training to employees, subcontractors, and vendors
• Research construction sites to identify potential hazards such as ventilation, lighting, and terrain
• Develop site-specific emergency evacuation plans and response protocols
• Build productive working relationships with clients to ensure safety needs are met

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience overseeing large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
• Ability to travel extensively to multiple project locations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at elevations exceeding 30 feet
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 500 and First Aid certification within the first month
• Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions and construction environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
• Experience with Hammertech or Smartsheet
