Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA, EPA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations
• Maintain company’s database and all other safety and environmental-related records
• Oversee, evaluate, and continuously improve facility safety initiatives to build a strong safety culture
• Support the annual Safety Plan development
• Coordinate required safety documentation including JSAs, Machine Guarding & PPE Assessments, and New Equipment Evaluations
• Review and ensure proper updating and compliance of Facility Written Programs such as LOTO, PIT, and Hazcom

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence to lead meetings and coach peers and leaders
