About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs at the project level for complex industrial construction projects
- Conduct project site audits to review records, permits, field conditions, and safe work practices
- Ensure corporate safety programs, standards, and policies are executed effectively across projects
- Lead safety business plan efforts for the district and prepare monthly reports
- Mentor and identify development needs for Project Safety employees
- Collaborate with Construction Management teams and safety professionals across the organization
- Manage incident data and ensure proper root cause analysis and investigation protocols are followed
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience managing construction projects in an environmental health and safety area, specifically within industrial projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related safety discipline
- Strong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and injury management
- Ability to travel and relocate to various project sites as needed
- Demonstrated ability to manage safety programs for projects of increasing complexity
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
- CPR/First Aid or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications
