Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the plant health and safety program to promote an incident-free work environment
• Conduct and review incident/accident investigations and monitor workers’ compensation claims
• Advise management on safety and health information and new regulatory requirements
• Perform regular facility inspections to identify potential hazards
• Prepare, schedule, and conduct safety training sessions for employees
• Act as a liaison between insurance carriers, state/federal agencies, and emergency services
• Maintain monthly statistical reports on safety performance and manage the OSHA 300 log
• Consult with plant managers on process or equipment changes to ensure safety standards are met
• Prepare the annual Safety Department budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Safety Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety roles
• Working knowledge of federal and state regulations, including EPA and OSHA
• Strong computer skills and ability to interpret regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational and professional communication skills
• Willingness to work onsite at the Plainview, TX facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing setting
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
