Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the execution of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report findings to senior management
• Provide hands-on training and guidance on safety best practices and emergency response
• Collaborate with leadership to align safety programs with business goals
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal safety laws
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents to determine root causes
• Maintain and update safety records, reports, and documentation
• Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement
• Ensure safety equipment and resources are available and compliant

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a safety management role
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or eCommerce environments
• Strong understanding of OSHA/CalOSHA guidelines
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and track performance metrics
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
• Safety certifications such as CSP or CHST
