Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs across designated company sites
• Supervise, guide, and support Safety Specialists and staff
• Lead accident and near-miss investigations, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and vehicle inspections for CMV compliance
• Identify safety performance gaps and develop targeted programs to address deficiencies
• Provide safety training to employees regarding policies, regulations, and procedures
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection logs, and incident documentation
• Advise leadership on EHS compliance related to projects, operations, and facilities
• Monitor and control environmental, biological, physical, or chemical hazards in the workplace
• Maintain liaisons with emergency response organizations such as fire departments and rescue teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in safety management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between facilities
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory standards, including OSHA

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree from a two-year college or technical school
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• OSHA 3-hour certification
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• HAZWOPER or other relevant safety certifications
• Familiarity with EHS compliance and reporting systems
