Safety Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform documentary reviews prior to mobilization including IPERC, PETS, and high-risk permits
• Control the entry of critical tools, chemicals, mobile equipment, scaffolding, and cranes
• Verify area conditions and manage improvements before execution
• Conduct permanent daily verification of work areas and monitor tasks throughout execution
• Halt any operations in imminent danger or with substandard conditions
• Participate in daily shift start meetings and monitor critical controls
• Identify and correct safety deviations and report them to industrial safety areas
• Present daily safety reports focusing on good practices and improvement opportunities
• Ensure contractor compliance with Antamina requirements and national regulations
• Register, process, and analyze industrial safety indicators to measure performance
• Elaborate final plant shutdown reports including results vs objectives and contractor performance

Requirements

• Professional degree in Engineering (collegiado and habilitado)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mining safety
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in industrial plant maintenance
• Experience in major plant shutdowns in concentrators or industrial settings
• Minimum 120 hours of specialized training or studies
• Accreditation as a competent person for working at heights
• Training in high-risk work
• Emergency response capability
