Safety, Health, & Wellbeing Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on operational and transport compliance, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint
• Conduct safety audits, ICAM investigations, and risk assessments to maintain the site risk register
• Implement proactive safety and compliance initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and motor vehicle accidents
• Lead toolbox talks and support monthly safety committee meetings in collaboration with Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs)
• Develop and enforce corrective action plans and support site-specific training plans
• Engage with customers and subcontractors to drive safer outcomes and effective delivery points
• Manage contractor compliance, Permit to Work processes, and Return to Work (RTW) programs

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS); tertiary qualifications are highly regarded
• Strong experience in road transport compliance and safety management systems
• In-depth understanding of WHS legislation, CoR, and risk management principles
• Demonstrated experience in incident investigations, preferably using the ICAM methodology
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Strong communication, organisation, and training implementation skills
