Safety, Health, Sustainability and Training (SHS&T) Advisor

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor site SHS Management Plans to meet performance targets and corporate requirements.
• Liaise with third-party site representatives and regulatory bodies for investigations, risk assessments, and communication of management plans.
• Establish SHS consultation processes, including WHS Representatives, WHS Committees, and toolbox meetings.
• Lead and mentor Project Management on SHS accountabilities to ensure effective implementation on site.
• Provide advice and support to the site manager regarding legislative obligations, OHS, and workers' compensation.
• Undertake analysis of site SHS performance to identify trends and implement follow-up initiatives.
• Develop and implement site training plans, skills matrices, and budgets.
• Schedule, develop, and deliver training and assessment programs in consultation with Operations and Labour Managers.
• Manage training records and monitor skill ratings to ensure consistency and compliance.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in OHS/WHS.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or successor).
• Minimum of five years of experience leading in an operational SHS environment.
• ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) certification.
• Experience as a Return to Work Coordinator.
• Valid High Risk Licence.
• Experience in implementing and managing safety management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy industry experience involving mobile plant and lifting operations.
