Safety Functional Expert

Responsibilities

• Perform Confirmation Reviews of system safety work products to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448
• Provide expert interpretation and feedback on review results to engineering teams
• Support alignment with SOTIF principles and contribute to system safety culture and best practices
• Collaborate with the System Safety organization to follow defined processes and frameworks
• Analyze systematic faults, random hardware failures, and functional insufficiencies impacting safety
• Share knowledge within internal communities to drive continuous safety improvements

Requirements

• Strong expertise in ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standards
• Hands-on experience with safety analysis methods including HARA, FTA, FMEDA, and FMEA
• Solid understanding of automotive systems engineering and embedded HW/SW systems
• Proven experience performing Confirmation Reviews
• Analytical and structured mindset with high professional integrity
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• English language proficiency (B2 Upper Intermediate or higher)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Teamcenter, or System/Car Weaver
• Background in process improvement, including the development of templates, checklists, and review methods
• Strong meeting facilitation skills
