Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply safety engineering knowledge to reduce and eliminate health risks in the workplace.
• Evaluate safety conditions at construction sites, issue technical opinions, and prepare reports on risks and necessary protection measures.
• Analyze work methods and processes to identify accident and occupational disease risk factors, proposing preventive and corrective actions.
• Execute safety and health programs and strategies, such as PGR, and monitor proactive HSE indicators to ensure legal compliance.
• Promote training, campaigns, and educational actions to disseminate safety and occupational hygiene best practices.
• Analyze projects, installations, machines, and equipment prior to operation to ensure safety compliance.

Requirements

• Engineering degree with a specialization in Occupational Safety.
• Active registration with CREA / MTE.
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NR).
• Expertise in PGR, PCMSO, and PPCI.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Deep understanding of safety legislation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Safety Engineer in Hydropower plants.
