Safety Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate autonomous-enabled commercial trucks on local and over-the-road freight routes
• Take control of the vehicle when required to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Execute assigned commercial routes in alignment with dispatch and customer schedules
• Communicate route status, delays, or issues to Operations and Command Center teams
• Adhere to FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate trip documentation and operational records
• Provide feedback on vehicle performance and route conditions

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
• Minimum 3+ years of recent, verifiable Class A driving experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, MVR review, and DOT physical
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-awareness roles such as test driving or autonomous/ADAS validation
• Experience in specialized transport
